“Where do I begin?! It’s hard to even put into words all the ways that Thanda has changed my life. In 2 and a half short years I have not only transformed my body, but also my mindset and dedication to making time for ME.

I have always been someone who enjoyed working out, but have always put an emphasis on cardio fitness and fit in strength training occasionally. I fell into Pilates for a while, running for a bit, Peloton, you name it. But I never realized how crucial building muscle is for women, especially women in their 40’s and beyond. Thanda has helped me to change my entire philosophy on fitness and food. She has taught me how to properly feed myself (turns out I had been under feeding myself for years), the importance of eating protein, and how to track macros. I don’t like it, but I do it- and it works. I have used what she has taught me about food and used it to help my 3 daughters eat better food and MORE of it. Food isn’t something to fear. FOOD IS FUEL (I can hear her saying that!). The car won’t start without gas in the tank.

I will be 49 next month and feel stronger than I ever have. Not only is Thanda extremely knowledgeable on building muscle, she also has helped me focus on the functional aspect of fitness as I get older. Mobility, flexibility, and strength combined- the literal secret to aging strong! She keeps me motivated by changing up the workouts regularly and keeping things challenging. Sometimes VERY challenging, but that’s where growth happens. She is an incredible person, trainer, and has become a good friend.  I won’t ever stop singing her praises and trying to get other women my age to start lifting HEAVY weights and invest in their future selves. It’s not too late- I’m proof.”
