Meet Coach Thanda
I have always been drawn to movement and athletics. Growing up, I participated in ballet, traditional Burmese dance, POMS, track and field, and softball. But despite being active, I was naturally smaller and lacked the strength and confidence I wanted—especially as a softball player.
I still remember moments in high school when the bat would slip from my hands because I simply was not strong enough to control it. That experience sparked a desire to become stronger, not just to improve my performance, but to prove to myself that I was capable of more.
What began as a goal to gain strength and build muscle became a lifelong passion. Through strength training, I discovered that the body is incredibly adaptable and that consistent effort produces real results. More importantly, I gained confidence in myself. As someone who was naturally shy and often lacked self-confidence, strength training taught me that with patience and hard work, meaningful change is possible. Looking back now, I also realized that training became an important outlet during some of the more difficult periods of my life. It reinforced how powerful movement can be not only for physical changes, but for confidence, resilience, and mental-well being as well. That experience is a big part of why I value helping others build confidence, strength, and trust in themselves through movement.
My journey eventually led me into competitive bodybuilding, where I spent five years competing in ten shows across both bikini and wellness divisions. I experienced the discipline required to lose body fat, the dedication needed to build muscle, and the mental resilience necessary to pursue long-term goals.
That personal journey inspired me to become a coach.
Today, with nearly a decade of coaching experience and certifications in personal training, corrective exercise, and nutrition, I help men and women build strength, improve body composition, and create sustainable habits that support long-term health and confidence. I am passionate about helping others experience the same transformation that strength training brought to my own life
